Sometimes when working with math equations in Microsoft Word, strange characters appear on the screen. These characters actually represent your math equation, but do not display the mathematical characters appropriately. One reason this happens is because "show field codes" may be selected. This video shows you where to find this setting in Microsoft Word and make sure it is set appropriately.
