BrailleNote with KeyMath

Description
This session will be focused on using KeyMath to input Nemeth code or UEB math content into KeyWord. Participants will learn how to insert math content into a KeyWord file, as well as how to edit content that has previously been entered. Additionally participants will learn how to use the symbol selector and fully integrated scientific calculator application to assist in completing math assignments. Saving and sharing of completed documents will also be covered.
- Participants will review skills required for effective completion of assignments, including file management, and switching among multiple apps
- Participants will learn 2 methods for easily viewing a student's Touch Plus screen remotely.
Objectives
The participant will:

insert math equations into a KeyWord document

create graphs and insert them into a KeyWord document

emboss graphs via Firebird Mobile for tactile understanding

utilize the symbol and template selector to enhance efficiency in KeyMath
- edit and share KeyWord files containing math content
Location
Hybrid. Onsite location: OCALI. 470 Glenmont Ave, Columbus, OH 43214. Participants who are unable to travel to the onsite location will be supported over Zoom.
It is recommended for participants to come in-person for the best experience, but we are happy accommodate participants online over Zoom at the same time.
Audience
TVIs, Intervention Specialists, General Educators, Transcribers, Paraprofessionals, Parents and Students who use or are interested in the BrailleNote Touch Plus
Participants Need to Bring
This is a hands-on training, so participants should bring a BrailleNote Touch to the training. If you do not have access to one, a limited number of devices are available to borrow by contacting Augusta at augusta_fisher@ocali.org
