Description

The Instructional Strategies for Braille STEM is anin-service conducted via Zoom with the focus to share with teachers and support staff different instructional strategies for teaching Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math to students who are braille users. 


Audience

TVIs, Intervention Specialists, Paraprofessionals, and STEM Classroom Instructors 


Learning Objectives

Through discussion and demonstration Instructional Strategies for Braille: STEM participants will:

  • Become familiar with STEM instructional strategies and materials for use with students who are braille users within the context of the regular classroom.

  • Become familiar with resources for STEM instructional strategies and materials for students who are braille users within the context of the regular classroom.

  • Connect with other professionals who are involved with supporting STEM instruction with students who are braille users.

  • Begin the thinking/planning process on how to access STEM materials and support for students in their home school district.

Two (2.0) contact hours will be offered for live attendance.
