BrailleNote with Google

Description
The first part of this session will focus on exploring the use of Google Classroom on the BrailleNote Touch Plus. Participants will learn how to interact with several types of assignments found within a typical Google Classroom environment such as those containing Google Docs, Slides or PDF files. Participants will also gain insight as to best practices for uploading and sharing information within Google Classroom and shared folders.
The second part of this session will be an exploration of web browsing on the BrailleNote Touch plus. This session will give participants the opportunity to learn best practices regarding web page navigation with a focus on learning management systems such as Schoology/Canvas. Participants will learn how to bookmark webpages, search for text on a webpage, work with multiple tabs, and efficient methods for navigating by web elements.

Location
Hybrid. Onsite location: OCALI. 470 Glenmont Ave, Columbus, OH 43214. Participants who are unable to travel to the onsite location will be supported over Zoom.
It is recommended for participants to come in-person for the best experience, but we are happy accommodate participants online at the same time!

TVIs, Intervention Specialists, General Educators, Transcribers, Paraprofessionals, Parents and Students who use or are interested in the BrailleNote Touch Plus
Objectives
The participants will:

Learn how to interact with several types of assignments in Google Classroom

Participants Need to Bring
This is a hands-on training, so participants should bring a BrailleNote Touch to the training. If you do not have access to one, a limited number of devices are available to borrow by contacting Augusta at augusta_fisher@ocali.org

2.5 (2.5) contact hours will be offered for this half-day training. ACVREP credits available.
